||This article presents an ongoing research project, the main aim of which is to investigate the teaching of architectural design, as well as to deepen the discussion on the role of drawing and architectural representation in the teaching and learning processes. The research conducts studies with design teachers through interviews and systematic classroom monitoring of architecture and urbanism courses. The theoretical frameworks that support this research and that are being used in the educational area to observe and understand practice are activity theory and situated learning.
