Paper title: Computer supported evaluation of interrelationsbetween seismic acceleration parameters and thebehaviour of structures
Authors: Elenas A
Summary: This paper describes first some acceleration parameters of seismic excitations. Next, anonlinear analysis of a reinforced concrete plane frame is carried out to elaborate theinfluence of the aforementioned parameters on the behaviour of the structure. Damageindicators in the form of cross sectional ductility demand are then evaluated andcorrelated with the strong motion characteristics. Furthermore, the ductility demand iscompared with the cross sectional ductility supply of the structure. The aim of thiscomputer supported study is t o extract among the several here presented seismicparameters, those which have drastic affection on the damage indicators of the structures.
