| Summary: | This paper presents a computer-aided solution to help the implementation of a methodology that allows the Quality Management and Evaluation, during construction, which may benefit a quality oriented construction policy. The development of this methodology has resulted from the research and analysis of several models, worked out in Portugal and other countries, oriented with regard to construction quality assessment. Those models helped establish a set of procedures to do the follow up of building construction and revealed the necessity of a computer-aided solution, which is fully described in the paper. At the end, the main conclusions are presented, as well as the interest of using computer-aided methodologies in Quality Management, which is acknowledge as a strongly data-oriented area. Some perspectives of its future development are also presented. |
